NUS 4-1 Tampines

Hi Guys,

Good win yesterday :)

I can't remember exactly who scored the 4 goals, but I think that this win was a good reflection of our potential.

I hope I'm not being overly critical here, but there are things that we can learn from yesterday's game even though we emerged victors.

(1) We lost a bit of focus in the second half, especially after we scored the second and third goals. This resulted in us losing our shape and discipline. Remember, the game ain't over til the final whistle.

(2) We need to know how to retain possession when we're winning. There's nothing more frustrating than being a losing side and still having to run like mad to win possession. We should have done more with the ball when we were 2 goals up.

That said, I really think that we're shaping up well and the attacking play is looking good.

Those on the sidelines, please be patient for your chance. Its hard to play everyone, but just because you do not get to play doesn't mean that you are not important to the team. Strength in depth is a luxury that we have this year because of the abundance of talent. Keep working hard and you will be rewarded in due course :)

Cheers!

Superb win boys! To be able to knock in 4 goals in a game is already a huge achivement, what more against good opponents like Tampines. Keep up willingness to explore attacking positions and the defensive discipline and i'm sure we'll rediscover our form! WELL DONE ALL!!
