From Uncle Sam... ...

Guys,

After having heard from your coach, Mr Arasu and Mr Sean talks, it came to me that I should also play my part,
not in looking after your injuries but in making and putting some senses into all of you.

This is one of the team that I enjoy tremendously working with.

Guys, on whether you will reach the finals or not, let us just leave it aside. Let us be focus and tackle that one match
on Monday, 10th, tomorrow. In fact I would advise you, guys to focus on the match in 2 parts, focus on the 1st half,
then later, on the 2nd half.

When I was watching last Saturday, 8th March, soccer match between M United and Portmouth, it reminds me of you guys.
Portsmouth never gives a damn who M United players are. They remained focus in their match. They fought for
every single balls and never allow and letting M United players belittle them and take them for fools. They worked hard,
they fought hard and they played hard as a team fighting all the way to the end, never letting M United players
time to think. Believe me, Portsmouth players were exhausted but they never giving up hope. There were many
instances where they look a sure loser but with their perseverances and strong thinking, they won the match.
Honestly, Portsmouth deserved to win.

My advise is asking all of you to be focus during the match starting from now (or since yesterday).
Remember your duties on what you are suppose to do, remember your instructions given to you from your coach and
be strong in your thinking (think positively that the match not only belong to you but your team too). You got to believe
in yourself.

I refer to 29 Jan 08, the Straits Times reports, "Djokovic believes in himself - and you'd better believe it".
In his speech when asked by reporters, what his reality was ?, his replied, " I always believed. I always believed ".
He knew that the game belongs to him for he ended up winning the Australian Open Tennis Grand Slam 2008.
He knew he could win for he had worked for it, struggled for it, planned for it, sweated for it.
Guys, all of you have come this far. Struggling to combine with your studies, going through all the gym work,
agility and speed workout with me, and all the trainings with your coach and those overseas trip, all of you work hard for it,
sweat hard for it, and it is high time that you make it worth all your efforts.

After you have read this mail, all of you must start thinking of the positive belief in you. Do visualisation thinking.
Imagine the match in your mind, think of all the good quality passes, good receiving of balls, good timing of running,
importantly, good communication and visualise the good surrounding and even their supporters too.
If one of your teammate did a good pass or a good tackle, praise him.
If it is a bad pass, do not sigh but give encouragement.

Whatever the score is during the match, you are still needed to remain focus throughout the whole match till the
final whistle is blown. Bearing in mind, your opponents will find ways and means to distract and anger you.
STAY calm and focus on the game.

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, ENJOY THE GAME. DO NOT ADD TARGETS TO YOURSELF, just be there to play the game.

Here, Uncle Sam wishes all of you the very best.

hey guys,
i'm sorry i was unable to join you all for training the past week. some of u might feel a little surprised about this post by me because you guys dun really see me ard.but i just want to say that i hope all of us will give our best tmr. i've been thinking about the semis the whole weekend too and i have the feeling we can win it. we have good quality players who can give them a tough fight. They think they are invincible at their home ground(just like man utd). We need to show them that we can play and not be scared of them.

as most of you would have known, at the start of the season, i was comtemplating due to personal reasons whether to join IVP this year. But i'm glad i decided to join in and play for NUS. i've never really said this but i really enjoy playing with you guys. I hear encouragement and motivation everywhere and it makes me feel part of the team.

Mistakes will happen in football, but what's most important is to cover each other and not to finger-point. It's a team game afterall.

In life, i believe things happen for a reason. We are in the semis after a tough group stage is because we have a team that can challenge for honours this year.

Let's go there with the belief that we can do it! take care of urselves.
