hEre goEs~

hey guys..

exams r coming real soon, and im quite sure everyone must be busy preparing for them, but isn't it boring.. spending the whole day staring at books / notes? so why not take some time off the monotonous studying and "indulge" yourself in some other mind-numbing treats?
(hmm.. i guess it both means almost the same thing, but hey, at least u don't just get fat!)

Head to the nearest track (or any other one which gives u the most motivation) for these specials~ (below)
It's only on promotion from Nov 19 - Dec 3!
So come on down now with your friends! Not that you'll get any discount, but i guess it'll makes the experience a whole lot better.. =)

Walking Dead Set A*

(1) 10 warm up rounds of track
(2) 800m x 5sets (each set in 3.5mins, with RI of 2.5mins)
(3) 5 cool down rounds of track

Monstrous Set B*
///////////////////////////////////////////
(1) 6 warm up rounds of track
(2) 300m x 6sets (each set in 70-75secs, with RI of 90secs)
(3) 150m x 8sets (each set in 21-25secs, with RI of 75secs)
(4) 80m x 10sets (each set in 13secs, with RI of 60secs)
(5) 5 cool down rounds of track

* RI = rest interval
** take 4-5mins in between each exercise to try and breathe
*** for optimal "pleasure", order at least 1 of set A and 1 of set B in a week, until promotional period is over


okay~ on a more serious note, please do try to accomplish at least 1 set of each in a week, until we next meet up. As chris and fong said (yes, i agree with you again~), if we don't do anything at all during this period, all that we have done will count for nothing. Also, as i have mentioned, we are not arranging a particular timeslot to carry out this training because we don't want to disturb your exam preparations.. that being said, it is always easier to convince yourself not to head down to the track if it's just u alone.. so, you all can arrange a timing among yourselves and go together~

Anyway, I don't mean to be naggy.. but i can't stress this enough.. i know training's been tough, coach has been pushing us, there's been whispering abt the type of training we r doing... but, take a step back and ask ourselves, "why are we doing this?" are we just passing our time, waiting to graduate? it's all for the ivp in January, i want to win, i really do.. but do WE really want it? and how much do WE want it? if we do not show enough hunger, our season may very well end in january.. so next time, if you find training particularly tough, just ask yourself "Why am i doing this for?" at least it works for me..

if you think u did well for a paper, good for u! hope it gives u the drive to do better for the next~ if not, don't dwell on it, just focus on the next one.. screwing up 2 papers is worse than screwing up 1. If all fails, believe in the power of moderation~
