Update Of Events

Here are some issues that may be of concern to you.. =)

(1) Combine Uni Jollilads Trials
Date: Feb 7, Sat
Time: 3pm
Venue: NTU

I know Chris has mentioned this already, but Im putting it down again so that this post won't prevent some of u from reading the previous one. Just want to add on, I hope that all non-graduating players (graduating also can lah) can go for the trials and hopefully, make the team. As far as i know, the standard between each player in the team is not that huge, our whole team is strong. So, this means that everyone has a good chance to make it. Playing in this league will give u the exposure, experience, and confidence. It will surely boost your chances of making and starting in next yr's ivp team. So, even if u haven't signed up, or even if for some reason, u cant go tmr, i urge u to go for the next training session.

(2) Malaysia Trip
We are no longer planning to go up to Malaysia on 21-22feb or 28feb-1march because it is still quite far away from the finals. We should be fixing a date closer to the end of march, possibly 14-15March.

(3) Midterm Training
Although we are not going to Malaysia during the midterm break, we are probably going to up the intensive of trainings. This means that there will be slightly more training sessions during the week, as it is the only week where everyone can make it for 5pm training timings. Also, the training sessions itself will be tougher, as coach will probably push us in terms of fitness. So... be prepared. I will try to give u updates asap so u can plan ur breaks (if u have, u r really lucky) or projects, etc.. try not to miss these sessions because it will be really crucial.

(4) Hall Rooms Available
According to Sean, Raffles Hall has sent out a circular regarding the availability of rooms. Their message below.

There are hostel rooms available in Raffles Hall this semester. Cost is about $82 per week inclusive of breakfast tea dinner.Athletes interested may contact Hall Manager Mr Leong Siew Teng. 65162078. rfhlst@nus.edu.sg
Carson

Hmm.. but after yesterday's 6-0 mauling by EH, i doubt anyone would want? Or maybe the remaining 13 of us can join so we can all skip fitness friday altogether? =p

(5) Interactive Football Portal
I received a mail from the person in charge regarding this soccer portal. I couldn't get SRC to send this through email because it's regarded as spam as long as they don't support NUS in anyway, but i already promised the person. So, i'll just have to put it here. Please take a look at the website if u r interested and spread the word if it's good.
