NUS 2 - 0 AMK
In a well played match on muddy home turf, NUS marched on to a 2-0 victory over Div 1 side AMK.
In the first half, a through ball from Damien found CW one-on-one with the AMK keeper. A cool side step past the last AMK player saw CW make amends for his previous glaring open goal miss, sending the home side 1-0 up.
Late in the second half, a deep cross from the right flank by Sudhi found Nigel at the far post. Still with much to do, Nigel leapt courageously into the air and met the ball with the conviction of a Spartan warrior. With accuracy, composure and the instinct of a true footballing genius, he guided the ball into the top corner of the goal, out of reach of the desperately diving goalkeeper, and single handedly deflating the hearts of the fallen AMK counterparts. True class, what a player.

Guys,
It was good seeing you all last night, and I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a strong urge to have played the game with you. Unfortunately my condition still doesn't allow me to do so, but fortunately you managed fine without:-)
Anyhow, it has been a pleasure playing with and getting to know all of you. There is great potential in the team and I'm sure you will do well in the tournament -if not, give me a call and I'm sure NUS will sponsor a flight ticket:-)
I will be checking in on the blog regularly, and please let me know if you come somewhere near Denmark next year.
